Attorney Bryan Pope
Bryan Pope
Bryan is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who has spent the last 25 years developing a law practice that focuses on helping those diagnosed with trauma-related CRPS/RSD. He has represented clients in many states across the country, including CO, OK, MT, WA, TX, AL, PA, FL, OR, AR, CA, VA, and ID. His team stays on top of new research, studies, and treatments for CRPS to better serve clients. Bryan’s track record includes representing over 100 clients with CRPS/RSD diagnoses, which means he has a real understanding of the incredibly difficult struggle that they, their families, and their support teams face when dealing with this devastating condition. He’s witnessed the tremendous toll that the physical pain and mental anguish cause for those with CRPS. Bryan knows that, unfortunately, CRPS is often a life-changing, disabling condition.
While preparing many of his cases, he’s discussed his clients’ treatment in depth with pain management physicians. He works to ensure that he truly grasps the condition and that any doctors he collaborates with will be compelling expert witnesses. Bryan has engaged some of the top experts in the field so that he knows his clients are benefiting from the best treatment possible. Throughout his career, he has seen every CRPS treatment modality, including nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation, ketamine, and more. This has given him a real understanding of the medicine involved in these types of treatment. Taking the time to carefully research and fully grasp the impact of CRPS and the success of the various treatments is absolutely necessary when advocating for clients with this condition.
Bryan is the only attorney on the Board of Directors of the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA). He has been working with the RSDSA for over 10 years as a partner with sponsorship from his law firm. Bryan is a regular speaker at RSDSA conferences, where he shares information about relevant legal issues. He also frequently lectures to other lawyers about CRPS/RSD-related legal matters. His level of understanding of the nature of the condition and the difficult path that CRPS Warriors and their families go through as they deal with the profound and often life-changing impacts of CRPS provides him with the empathy and passion necessary to help his clients obtain financial security through the legal system.
About Bryan
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys traveling the world with his wife, Cheryl, who is an organizational effectiveness consultant and executive business coach. He also likes to play golf, manage his fantasy football teams, and follow the North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Occasionally, he even cheers on the SMU Mustangs (as a double alumnus). As the son of a Southern preacher, Bryan grew up in Alabama and North Carolina, so he has loyalties to both! Bryan is also one of the founding members of the popular Sunday Morning Quarterbacks (SMQBs) sports podcast with four of his fellow trial lawyers. Many weekends, he can be found grilling on his Big Green Egg while hanging out with his wife, their two Golden Retrievers, and three crazy cats.
